Hyper Acidity
|
Stomach trouble cause by hyper acidity :-
Some people suffer stomach illness due to an increase pain in hyper acidity. A common disease in which a person with slow digestive system can easily get into trouble stomach. Medical experts made some research for medicines to cure such illness.
Restoration of any healthy gastrointestinal function and ecology is essential to the management of virtually all health problems. Almost every chronic illness or disease has some relation to or basis in gut physiology. The digestive system is a major immune system organ, with an estimated 40-70% of defense activity taking place in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue. Many times this tissue becomes chronically inflamed by a condition called “leaky gut syndrome.” auto-intoxication occurs—this process allows toxins from the gut to be carried into the portal blood, virtually “marinating” the body with toxic wastes. This causes a myriad of systemic problems in the digestive system and throughout the entire body. This abnormal intestinal permeability is associated with toxic reactions. who wrote The Four Pillars of Health, through laboratory testing estimates that this syndrome effects more than 70% of patients suffering from chronic fatigue, and 80% of patients with reactive arthritis have this same issue.
We see many clients in clinic that have been diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Diverticulitis, Acid Reflux/Hyperacidity or chronic and severe Constipation and/or Diarrhea. Most of these patients have struggled with the standard Western Medicine testing and treatment of gut disturbances and still complain of severe symptoms. In most cases nothing will have been detected through testing, or if they have been diagnosed, no treatment has been effective.
In supporting the regeneration of the gut from of all of these gut disturbances, we take many steps with clients including reducing the stress-induced over-stimulation of the nervous system, reduce toxic chemical exposure, alcohol, over-the-counter medications, and dietary implications that are in large part causing severe inflammation. In these cases, nutritional supplementation, homeopathic/spagyric and biologic remedies, and Chinese herbology and acupuncture are required support with all gut disturbances. The removal of some foods in your diet during part of the regeneration time is always part of this process (food sensitivity testing) in order to keep inflammation and irritability in the gut under control while nutritional and biologic medicinals are working to help repair the gut. Treatment protocols do differ depending upon the length of the illness, the persons’ ability to restructure their lifestyle, and their commitment to their remedies and nutritional recommendations.
Acidity is a problem that occurs very frequently; so going in for medications every time doesn’t seem to be a very good idea. A better alternative is to go in for acidity home remedy treatment. Home remedy for acidity is natural and therefore is absolutely safe for the human body.

The excessive secretion of acid in the stomach leads to formation of ulcer.

Aacidity & Ayurveda
Out stomach is powered with couple of enzymes and secretion which mix up with material taken by mouth and try to make it digestible. An acid called hydrochloric acid is one of them that flow in the stomach. There are certain hormones that regulate this flow as per the food eaten. Gastrin stimulates and Somatostatin suppresses the flow.
Acidity is generally caused by an imbalance between mechanisms of the secretion of acid in the stomach, and protective mechanisms that ensure the stomach’s safety. The stomach secretes acidic fluid that helps in digestion process. But when the stomach exceeds the production of the acid by glands present within it, it results in the situation termed as acidity. Acidity is referred to hyperacidity.
There are certain conditions like ulcer in which the secretion is either low or normal. Acidity may cause other symptoms like dyspepsia, formation of ulcers (erosion of the lining of the intestines or stomach) and heartburn. This situation tends to be in higher incidence in nervous and emotional individuals. Now a day this problem has become big in developing nations where the lifestyle is fast and people don’t prepare the food which is nourishing but they depend on the food that can be quickly prepared. There are certain other factors like alcohol, highly spicy foods, NSAID’s and non-vegetarian diet etc.
When there is excessive secretion of acidic material in the stomach it creates the burning sensation. That is nothing but acidity. Acid dyspepsia and hyperacidity are one and the same having almost same symptoms. Ayurveda describes this as excessive Pitta Dosha (one of the three doshas

Why Acidity ?
There are many causes like diet, incompatible food, emotions and nerve reflexes may impact on the acid secretion.
* HIGHLY ACIDIC DIET – it is recommended that 80% of the diet should come from alkaline-producing foods for most people. This refers to a large amount of fruits and vegetables (alkaline-producing foods) and decreased acidic foods such as non-vegetarian, spicy oily, cheesy and starches, etc.
* NEGATIVE EMOTIONS – it is fact that eating while one is angry or upset can surely raise gastric hyperacidity.
* INCOMPATIBLE FOOD PATTERN – even though foods those are alkaline-producing or mildly acidic may produce hyperacidity in the stomach and if consumed improperly. One of the most noticeable evidence for improper food combining explained in numbers of books is citrus and cereals. Here the chemicals that is needed to digest citrus and cereals are incompatible finally resulting into gastric hyperacidity
* NERVE REFLEXES – the gastric secretions are affected by the nerve reflexes from nerve centers which are in the cervical and thoracic areas of the spine. That is why somewhere in certain readings gastric hyperacidity is attributed to somatic dysfunction.

Symptoms of Acidity
This has got typical sensation in stomach. One feels the burning sensation in the stomach. Along with that there would be feeling of nausea (the sensation of vomiting). One does feel something coming upward in direction from the stomach to the mouth. Usually this would contain sour tasted material.
There could be steady pain of short duration felt in upper abdomen just below the breastbone which is usually following after large spicy meal. There could be sour blenching and heart burn. The sense of abdominal distension may be seen. Flatulence, burping and lack of interest in food are not so uncommon factors.
Many times it is misunderstood with heartburn which is later stage of acidity in which the content of stomach comes back to esophagus (the food pipe) affecting the heart region.
Ayurveda describes the excessive salivation in the condition of acidity along with stomach cramps. Persons lose their interest having any type of food. The sufferer prefers to drink the plain water instead of eating as drinking water suppresses the upcoming material from the food pipe for time-being |
